Animals in captivity

I sincerely love this photo, although it's the saddest photo I've seen in this contest. Out of over 700 photos entered, this one really grabbed my attention. The photo is very clear, the colors are soft but not dull and it shows us the captivity of the animal like nothing else. When you look at this photo, all you want to do, is to unclip that rope from his nose and set him free. Indeed it is barbaric to do this to an animal. Congrats on this great shot, which shows your creativity on the subject.

Great shot and good creativity. The minimalistic approach tells us a lot more than if the bear's face had been shown. It tells us of a desperate and sad animal, maybe even giving up on his freedom altogether. It's an image that grabs your attention.. and your heart.
