Bells

Another great photo of humans and bells. I enjoyed the costume particularly. While I might assume the photo was posed, it has a cheery, candid look to it. The subject seem to particularly like his role. The photo combines the colours red, gold and black in a nice manner. Congratulations.

Perhaps the most unusual entry in the contest and an enticing mystery. Of whom is this a statue? What does the remainder look like? Why does she have bells and flowers? It's als a great composition, particularly in the use of diagonals. Congratulations on third place.

This was the only entry in which a person a viewed from above. It's a beautifully angled shot and also a nice use of a divided in half technique. The priests headdress from above complements the round shape of the bell and the is a good sense of impending action. Congratulations.

A beautiful use of the technique of intentional obstruction, with the ring in the clapper perfectly framing the man's finger. And his expression and gesture are very interesting. Nice contrast between the centering of the bell and the position of the man on one side as wl. Congratulations.

There were a number of photos of people interacting with bells in this contest but this little votary was my favourite. Not only is the photo charming but it is very well composed with a great sense of balance between the right and left portions while there is also a strong colour contrast. It perfectly depicts impending actions and to top it off, the bell and its setting are interesting as well. Congratulations on first place.

This photo impressed me by the use of obstruction to create new geometric shapes, especially in the bell on the left. The smoothness of the white walls and the roughness of the bells along with the contrast between white and colour lend to a very pleasing photo. Congratulations.

This was one of only a few photos in the contest combining bells and cold, and I believe the only one with ice. I liked the chilly feel of the coating on both the bells and the twigs,, along with the green background that provides a shade and hue green against green contrast. The photo is also nicely composed with rule of thirds contracting with secondary interest in the remainder.. Congratulations on second place.

There were many entries of bells in towers and other architectural structures, but this one stood out due to its stark high contrast of light and shadows and the diagonal division of the photo. The capture of the wall texture in the bright portion is also nice. Congratulations.

There were a lot of entries with cowbells but this was the only one of a camel bell and the only one with the bell on the animal. I like the curved lines, selective focus, and shades of tan in this image along with the compositional layout. Congratulations.
