This is a really beautiful still-life that immediately captured my attention.. The worn wood cart bed has an old world feel. The soft light, feels like it is spilling into the barn from a high window., and sets a lovely mood. The metal wash tin and wooden shoes provide a personal touch and initimate feel to the scene. .The objects do not compete for attention and blend with the cart to complete the peaceful scene. The colour palette adds to the lazy feeling. Congratulations on your prize winning photo.

Please enter your photos of any type of cart, wagon or wheelbarrow. Photos can show the cart empty, in use, or as part of a still life. You may include people or animals in your pictures, but the cart should be the focal point of the photo. Entries can be in colour or black and white.
This photo can be summed up in one word, PERSPECTIVE. Not all of us have seen this view from inside a mine tunnel, and it made the photo extra interesting. I love the track lines leading to the cart and beyond. The majestic mountains in the background are the icing on the cake. I am sure you had no control over it, but it would be fun to play with lighting, and maybe even to take this shot in other weather and at different times of day. I want to visit this site now!

Oh for the lack of a draft horse. I love this old cart that appears to have lived beyond its life expectancy. There are signs of weathering and makeshift repairs that give it character. The load of boards create lines that lead you right to the horse, which appears diminutive in comparision to the cart and load. It is almost comical. What made this photo stand out to me is the perfect timeing of the click of the shutter. I like the colors on the vehicle in the background which make the horse head stand out, and the items in the foreground that makes the horse seem even smaller. A few seconds earlier or later and it would just not be the same. I wish I could enlarge this photo to examine all the small details in this gem. Great framing.
