Looking Through an Open Door

There have been many photos in the contest showing a garden behind the door, this one for me is the very best. The door is well placed in the photo, giving more room to the side where the door opens. I really love the contrast between the well done garden in the backgroung lookin out of a very natural kept garden in the foreground bringing out a certain tension between calmness and vitality.

Creative idea using an interesting view, showing only the lower part of a door truely kept open in an extraordinary way. Minimalism and creativity - so one of my favourite photos in the contest.

What an exciting photo, starting with the distribution of light, deviding the photo in a darker and brighter part. And the interesting doorknocker setting an exciting contrast to the dark opposite part of the pic. And for me the best storytelling photo in the contest: a curious child carefully exploring the way to the next room. And actually I want to follow to see more what is behind the door, especially because one can see only little.

For me the best blackandwhite photo in the contest - very dynamic and powerful, showing the movement of wind and clouds and behind the door creating the feeling of calmness. Additionally the wall gives a feeling of protection. For me it symbolizes a location to relax and to reflect while the dynamic and power of life continues outside the place.

A really great composition, where the photographer has found the perfect position to create a magnificant view catching quite a lot of details. Even more difficult and perfectly solved the various kind of lights may be using HDR to do so good. For me a perfect photo and great artwork. So my number one in the contest.

Great perspective to show a curious room with an interesting position of the lamb creating a wonderful light. I like the tension between the order and disorder in this room.
