Modernity with Old Looks/in Sepia

This picture was a long time my most favourite. I like the composition a lot, with the modern (!) lamppost in the middle and the both men on the right and left of it. The dog tries to walk out of the picture, making a nice diagonal line. The man on the right seems to look at the other, but in real I think he is looking somewhere else. That doesn't matter, though... Thanks for entering my contest!

This special, surrealistic and ominous picture is an exception in this contest. The clothes and the general appearance of the picture are oldfashioned. The modern electronic equipment makes this picture definitely fit the brief. If I were you I would have used a digital eraser to take the black vertical lines away on the left of the most right person. Besides of that, it is perfect... Congratulations. It became my most favourite picture during writing this review. I appreciated it more and more... a piece of art! It would be nice, if you could add some more information to this picture, about the meaning/ title/ way of making it. Thanks for entering my contest!

This picture has something funny in it. I cannot tell why. Maybe the fact that someone is playing chess in the street, standing? With a mask on... The mouthmasks help in this case to proof that the picture fits the brief of this contest. The fact that one man is standing and the other is sitting forms a nice diagonal in this photo. I like it! I really like this storytelling picture. I think this is typically 'street photography'. It is a pity that the fourth person on the right was there at that very moment. With only the other three the picture would have been stronger. Hilarious, that man on the left who is lacking hands to do everything he wants to do. I did not know, MEN could be multitasking too.... :-) The smartphone is an essential detail, else I would not have judged this picture as 'on brief'. Thanks for entering my contest.

This time, it was very difficult for me to choose the winning picture. My daughters told me to choose this one. I did not, but I certainly love the sweet smile of this non. The smartphone she is holding against her ear makes the picture 'on brief' for this contest. Thanks for entering my contest!

Thanks for entering my contest. I like the simplicity of this picture, with the straight lines and the diagonal rays of the sun. The white balloons form a nice detail. If I were you, I would have made this picture square; I would have cropped it to the left two third. I think the picture is even more interesting then...
