I love the humour of this. There are two worlds going on here, they look oblivious to each other, those sunbathers don't look like they're irritated by the loud noisy machinery behind them, perhaps they've got used to it ! It's a nice moment in time, it tells a story, it makes you smile - nicely seen and captured
This is very nice. The light trails really help to make the composition work, your eye is drawn round and up to the power station structure. I hope you weren\t in a dangerous place to take this photo, I hope you were safely on a bridge or something because none of us need to endanger ourselves or others to get a shot. Keep shooting !
I like this a lot. It stood out from the multiple shots of cranes! It's got a sense of humour, it's pushing the subject matter and proves you don't need a big crane or a wide view to invoke a sense of construction. The quality and detail is nice, it's really crisp and bright, the decaying brickwork is all muted colours so the colourful bright sign stands out - thanks for entering it.
Scaffolders, I think, are one of the most photogenic trademen or women on a building site, alongside crane drivers and welders. Why is that ? I think becuase of what they do, they're often working vertically, like here, they also work in teams, three people working together is a more of a story than one person in isolation, and due to the nature of scaffold, it being graphic, all adds up to great subject matter

A really nice shot full of texture and detail with striking composition and narrow focus but...it could be a rope anywhere, I can't see any construction obvious or hinted at, and construction is what this competition is about. So I'm sorry to not give it any award, maybe enter it into one that's more relevant.
I'm very jealous of your holiday in Nepal, what incredible sights (and sites !) to see. This shot is nicely composed, I love that the house is on the edge of the photo, allowing some breathing space, with the mist and valley, to set the scene. A tricky exposure I imagine so well done for hanging onto the highlights in the mountains, without that detail this shot wouldn't work so well. The colours are also nice, the green and orange against the cold monotone.
I love the scale of this, without the guy it would be really dull, with him it's a great shot and nicely framed. I think it's important to really concentrate on gettting workers to look just right before you take a shot, often that means watching what's going on operationally, anticipating what's going to happen and being ready. This shot is a great example of getting the timing right, you can see what he's doing clearly, he's standing backdropped by black so stands out and for the cherry on top, he's looking up and out of shot. Lovely
This is original. and fun. and interesting. It's got so much going on, the structure and texture of the bridge and the safety netting, the bright colours of the men contrasted against the dark of the site, his gravity defying position, his skill and nerve, the teamwork going on. I really feel like I'm there, sensing the danger and the confinement and the scale. Great shot, I know these kind of shots take a lot of energy and time and uncomfortable positions to get - really nicely composed and executed, well done
I like this because it's got more going on than just cranes on a building site. I like the fact the people are sillhouttes, which makes the whole image quite abstract and graphic. The people are also nicely placed, I wonder if you waited for them to look right, or if it just happened in front of you. It's nicely seen, nicely composed and interesting
Sorry, but this isn't about construction, it's a mechanic's workshop. A lovely shot though, save it for a competition that's more relevant, like 'people at work' or something like that.
And this is only my personal opinion - it's a great shot without you needing to manipulate so much in photoshop - your image is a good one, you don't need to add filters to give it impact, it has impact already and I'm distracted by the manipulation. But as I say, a totally personal opinion which you are perfectly entitled to ignore!

I love this. The light is perfect, bringing out the workers and their ropes, the tower crane and the building opposite. The fog helps to hide the clutter at ground level so the eye concentrates on the men, the ropes and the building. I don't know if you planned for this light or it was just there in front of you and you took advantage - it doesn't matter, it's a great shot

Before there was the shiny new building, there was the construction site, the workers, the machinery, the raw materials being gradually crafted into shape, rising from the ground. Lots of things, including buildings, are constructed. We’re open to any interpretations of the brief that illustrate the process.

This is a really lovely interesting nicely composed image but it doesn't fit this brief - which is about construction, not about 'constructed'! Please enter it into a more relevant competition. It's not evident that this image is about construction, perhaps there is something going on in front of that building, the Buddhist College (?) to the left?
