Alina Kisina is a Ukrainian photographer working in London. She frequently returns to her native land to continue an ongoing series of remarkably evocative pictures using a mixture of abstraction and representation that suggest a reality beyond what is seen by the eye.
Over the course of her career she has received numerous prizes and exhibitions at public galleries and festivals in the UK and internationally. Her work has been featured at conferences on development of culture and innovative approaches to aesthetics, literature and film in Germany, UK, Sweden and USA.
Based at Chisenhale Studios in London she is currently working on a new commission giving artist talks, acting as a visiting lecturer and delivering artist workshops on self-expression through photography.
