My name is Melvin Nicholson and I am a full-time professional landscape photographer who is based in Preston, Lancashire. I run landscape photography workshops in the UK and internationally as well as personalised 1-2-1 tuition days for those who prefer to receive assistance on their own.
I have had my work published in national and international media and magazines including National Geographic and the BBC and I have my work permanently exhibited in various establishments in the Lake District and Scotland, however it is the teaching and mentoring side of photography that I love. The desire to help others to realise their dreams and aspirations in not only improving their photography but to gain more enjoyment from it as a result is the very thing that has me enjoy what I do so much.
I was a national judge for two years with the Lancashire and Cheshire Photographic Union judging competitions within camera clubs and societies.
