John Aldred is a self-taught portrait & animal photographer based near Glasgow, Scotland. Over the past couple of decades, he's tried wildlife, events, product photography and a variety of other genres to find what he really enjoys shooting. Around 2010 he settled on people in the wild and animals in the studio.
In 2016, John's photography took an unexpected turn. He went from shooting full time to writing about photography for DIYPhotography.net. This allowed him to free up more time for personal projects. John is also an ASUS Brand Ambassador who likes to experiment with technology to make his photographic life easier.
