I’m originally from Vilnius, Lithuania but for the past 16 years I have been living in Ireland .
My journey into photography started over 14 years ago when I bought my first film camera. I knew nothing about SLR cameras, shutter speeds and apertures so it was quite a challenge for me to get good shots. The progress was slow but I didn’t give up. I really enjoyed learning new tricks, capturing the world around me, exploring new places and meeting great people along the way. 7 years ago, when my first daughter was born, I took my photography to another level.
I would say I’m a lifestyle and natural light portrait photographer but I would try all types of photography. A lot of my work is focused on capturing my daughters day to day life (Angelika and Skarlett). I love portraits & people photography. When I have a free time, I enjoy shooting landscapes, seascapes, wildlife and macros.
Photography is my passion. I am always looking for a challenge with my photography and trying new techniques and styles provides me a way to express myself. In a way, gives me a sense of freedom.
A few years ago I decided to try National and International competitions and I have been awarded over 30 awards and over 400 pictures have been accepted to National and International photography salons final exhibitions. I’m a proud holder of LIPF (Licentiateship in Irish Photographic federation and AFIAP ( International Federation of Photographic Art ) distinctions.
