Carla Regler is an award-winning equine, seascape and landscape photographer based in Cornwall. She is also a leader for Light & Land, the UK’s premier Landscape Photography Tour and Workshop company, as well as running her own workshops in Cornwall and overseas. Earlier this year Carla’s image of the February 2014 storms won the weather category in the British Life Photography awards, putting her firmly on the map as one of the UK’s foremost female photographers.
In addition to her sought-after seascape images, Carla is also a talented equine photographer, having ridden and worked with horses from an early age – as well as owning her own livery stables in the West Country before moving to Cornwall. She competed successfully in dressage competitions for five years and has also trained with numerous top international competition riders, as well as qualifying a novice for the National Championships. Carla’s next equine adventure is to run a week-long ranch-based workshop ‘Horses in the Snow’ at Shell Canyon in Wyoming next January, giving her guests the opportunity to photograph these beautiful creatures in the wild, amidst a dramatic landscape – www.carlaregler.com/Horses-in-the-snow
